The Gulf Group for Study of Diabetes (GGSD) biannual Conference – Notice of Postponement

GGSD has decided to postpone its Bi- annual Conference that was to be held from 19- 21 March, in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman in March 2020.

GGSD has been closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and the recent associated travel restrictions. Based on the advisories issued by WHO and various GCC health authorities, GGSD believes postponing the event is the safest and most appropriate decision for our participants.

The Organizing Committee is working with our partners, faculty and other stakeholders as to determine a new date for the event. Our focus is to ensure that the conference experience and content continues to remain of the high standard that GGSD attendees have come to expect. GGSD will update the community when a new date is selected, and a notice of this will be communicated shortly.

The Executive Board of GGSD would like to take this opportunity to thank all faculty members, partners and participants for your understanding and want to reiterate our commitment in making this a event a resounding success when re-scheduled at an appropriate time.
